Please don't watch Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. Hollywood might just be realizing that comic books are worth turning into respectable films, but it will be some time before they realize the same thing about video games. What saddens me even more is that this is their SECOND attempt (I blame you, JCVD and your stealth boat).
Don't they realize that the original kids who played SF2 are now in their 30s? Some of us have even grown into well adjusted members of society who can discern between a decent flick and a blatant cash grab / soul killing time sucker. And this isn't just the opinion of a crazed superfan like me. Rotten Tomatoes gave it FIVE PERCENT. That's out of a hundred, homes. That's not a movie, that's an insult.
I revere the things I loved in my youth. They give me strength and inspiration. Once you strip mine and desecrate their memory, what will I have left?
Oh well. I guess it's up to peeps like me to speak out. And so I have. In exchange for not padding this movie's bottom line, please enjoy this video:
