I'm pretty peeved. My laptop's battery life has degraded down to about 20 minutes. I actually did my best to take the battery out when on AC power, but the combination of hawaii heat and dirty power finally took its toll. I knew that no amount of battery calibration, finding ways to make winxp run faster, and drive defragging would reclaim more than a few percent of that time, but I'm desperate and gave it a shot anyway. Moral of the story: An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. I'll be better next time.
While I'm coding outside, Pennya calls and we catch up as I walk around the block. Among other things, the guy tells me he is now a master dancer, (sorry if that's a secret) and I tell him about my sleep experiments. Pennya's been really good about keeping in touch like that. I'm really bad on the phone. It's usually either online or in person for me. Very little in between. Tsk tsk. Gotta recalibrate that balance.
